We last sold this one back in April of 2015 (
there are pictures in the archive here), a "Colonial" take on Don Young's excellent 5 inch gauge "Rail Motor" design.
It's recently come back in, still running same as ever, boiler has had hydraulic and steam tests with new certification. A compact design, separated from its tender the engine is easy to move about and transport.
I like this one - to my eyes the styling adds to the original design, it's easy to fire and drive, the outside valvegear makes routine oiling and maintenance straightforward.
