We've tested the batteries - one fully charged at 100% health, the other requires replacement.

Possibly optimistic to list this one as a Class 08, but it was clearly what was in the builder's mind when he set off for the shed to create this one.

It's been well thought out, with a 24 volt motor driving a jackshaft at the front of the locomotive, thence coupled by chain to the centre driving axle.

Power and adhesion is provided by a pair of 12 volt, 30Ah batteries.

The body is quickly detachable, with a pin at the rear and pair of catches either side.

The emergency stop connector is functional but unreliable. An undesirable quality at the best of times, doubly so on an emergency stop switch - we'd advise replacement before use.
