An older "Chub" tank locomotive - it's an engine we had in some years ago, I took it out to my club on that occasion and had a run with it. Recently back in as a part exchange, it's pretty grubby, superheater header leaks and it's missing the pressure gauge and injector. Boiler is sound, runs on air - it's a running restoration rather than tear it apart job.

Silver soldered copper superheated boiler, feed by axle pump and injector with auxiliary hand pump in the side tank. Twin safety valves. Outside cylinders with slide valves actuated by Walschaert's valve gear with pole reverser in cab. Twin sight feed lubricators with oil tank beneath footplate.

Hydraulic test @160psi for 80psi working pressure, 8-Oct-2014
