The commercially-builr, CE marked boiler has had hydraulic and steam tests with new certification issued. The engine steams freely and runs very well, notching up in both directions.
Boiler feeds are by axle, hand and steam pumps - the latter a little jewel of a thing, hidden away under the nearside cab floor.
From the bright copper still showing in the firebox and the engine's condition - both mechanically and cosmetically - we suspect it's only had a handful of steamings from new; the wheels show little sign of having done much mileage on rails.
