Repatriated from France last weekend where's it's lived from new, this is a partly assembled 5 inch gauge Winson Britannia - it's come from the original owner who has done a fastidious job of assembly to date, resulting in a free-rolling chassis with all motionwork and valve gear fettled and polished up, the chassis painted to a good standard.

Everything else to complete is in the remaining boxed kits - the boiler came to us in its original crate, only opened the day before it arrived to find the original manufacturer's boiler certificate.

Complete with three binders of paperwork, including the original assembly instructions and copies of "Fastrack", the house magazine published by Winson back in the day when the whole thing started with optimism unbounded...

One of the first of the first Winson designs to be properly sorted - there's lots of information available on how to make the kit-build Britannias go well. We've had several decent examples in over the years, 70000 "Britannia" particularly comes to mind.
