A finely-built, highly detailed 5 inch gauge BR Standard Class 9F 2-10-0, constructed as one of a pair over a thirty year period by a gentleman now in his eighties.

It came to us with a photographic log showing the build of both locomotives - test steamed only, mechanically it's in as-new condition. Paintwork is in dull, BR "working clothes" black; authentic, but to somebody who longed for Hornby's "Evening Star" when a youngster (finally got it, aged eleven), is a drab plumage compared to lined green with copper-capped chimney!
