5 inch gauge bogie passenger wagon - stock code 2522

I went to look at a 5 inch gauge model of the Talyllyn Railway's ex-Corris "Edward Thomas" recently. With the engine was a rather nice little tender/driving truck, plus this great big thing which had been lobbed outside in the garden where it had gently gone all rusty. I was most intrigued as, you may remember, I had a very similar wagon in some time ago, obviously by the same constructor. In some distant part of the grey matter, I remembered loading the other wagon into my car one day along with a rather nice 5 inch gauge "Dolgoch" - also from the Talyllyn. Adding two and two together I promptly came up with five - it was obvious that some model engineer had built a train of narrow gauge bogie wagons and, in all likelihood, the entire Talyllyn fleet of locomotives. With great excitement (having travelled the Talyllyn many times as a boy) I called the chap that "Dolgoch" came from and, rather breathlessly, asked if the builder had constructed all the Talyllyn engines and dozens of bogie wagons...

Sadly, Dolgoch's builder built that one and no others. The bogie wagon, it turned out, had come from me in the first place. Whoops. I'm sure I forget more these days.

So, this is from the same stable as the wagon which went to John a couple of years ago, then came back when he went 7 1/4 inch (then the Hunslet he took for that project came back when he went 2 foot gauge, but that's getting ahead of ourselves). It needs some TLC but is not in serious trouble - it really needs showing a wire brush and some new paint. It runs very freely indeed and although the axleboxes look exactly like a conventional gunmetal box, I'm convinced there are bearings lurking withing.
