A 5 inch gauge "Ajax" 0-4-0T, recently arrived as one of three "barn find" locomotives from a garden railway in our old stomping grounds of Berkshire.

In a sorry state cosmetically and with substantial wear in the bottom end, it nevertheless steams well and runs in both directions, we've issued new hydraulic and steam certificates.

The regulator is very sensitive, which takes some getting used to when running - while it can be run as-is, further investigation would yield a quality-of-life improvement.
