A 4 1/2 inch scale Foden steam wagon, a local engine which has been rallied regularly - we re-tubed it for its owner last year (one of those "emergency" jobs which has to be done before the next rally booked for about a fortnight after the tubes started leaking!), he's now downsizing. It's in good running order, goes very well - there's some video of it running around the yard on a miserable wet day recently here.
Welded steel boiler with expanded steel tubes, built 1999 John Rex Model Engineers, re-tubed 2016. 140psi working pressure. Cast iron cylinders with slide valves actuated by Stephenson's gear, three speed transmission with chain drive to rear axle. Differential, pneumatic tyres.
