This engine came from a collection in Somerset, all built by a retired civil engineer along with a 4 inch scale Burrell SCC roller and Foden wagon. All three engines were well-made, this one, the agricultural, was first completed. They arrived just before my open day last year - those who visited may remember this one and the roller in steam all day. All sold on the day, before I had a chance to put any pictures on the website - the agricultural and wagon have just been part-exchanged back against a full-size roller so this time I was determined to get some pictures taken!

Steel boiler by Franklin & Bell fed by crank-driven mechanical pump and injector, 100psi working pressure. Single cylinder with slide valve, mechanical lubricator, Stephenson's valve gear with pole reverser on the footplate. Two speed with differential and winch behind nearside rear wheel, wheels are rubber-tyred.

The engine is is good order with a new boiler certificate, expiring in May 2006. It goes very well and, with a tender-mounted seat, is particularly comfortable to drive.
