3/4 inch scale spirit-fired portable engine - stock code 7082

I first saw this small batch of spirit-fired portable engines nearly fifteen years ago, the work of a highly prolific model engineer, a man who built locomotives and traction engines in several different scales - readers with long memories will remember the little gauge 1 LNWR Precursors he made, we sold several back in the early noughties.

Originally built as a batch of twelve, these four are the last of the line - a few went to the builder's grandchildren, the remainder we sold years ago. Now not enjoying the best of health, he has closed the workshop and disposed of the last of his models.

Silver soldered copper boiler, gunmetal cylinder with slide valve actuated by slip eccentric valve gear, screw type regulator. Unsteamed from new, all turn over freely.
