3 inch scale Wallis & Steevens "Simplicity" steam roller - stock code 9258

A 3 inch scale Wallis & Steevens "Simplicity" steam roller, built to the Plastow design, based on a small batch of 3 ton diagonal boilered machines produced by the Basingstoke company in the 1920s.

Fitted with a marine boiler as per the prototype engine, with feed by axle driven and hand pumps, as well as a small vertical injector of dubious efficiency.

Whilst some examples require a definite knack to fire, this one seemed remarkably eager when steamed earlier in the week, steaming freely all afternoon whilst running around the yard - there's a video of it here.
