The John Haining design produces a powerful, easy to drive engine - we've had several over the years, all have impressed with how well they steam and run. This one is fitted with rubber tyres which, whilst not prototypical, make for a very much nicer ride!
The welded steel boiler has had an off-the-chassis hydraulic test in recent days with all cladding removed - it's in excellent condition.
The engine runs very well in both directions, there's some video of Ashley running around the yard on it here.
Complete with wooden storage crate on wheels.
