A thoroughly reliable designer, responsible for the 2 inch scale Fowler ploughing engines - both single cylinder and compounds - as well as the Durham & North Yorkshire engine and several others, he hadn't lost his touch when it came to the Suffolk.
Whilst of unconventional appearance, they do go well, the engine is well matched to the boiler and the thing has enough size and weight to make a decent entry-level rallying engine.
Silver soldered copper water tube boiler, feed by mechanical pump and injector. Twin cylinder double high engine with Stephenson's reversing gear - cast iron cylinders with slide valves, mechanical lubricator.
Complete with a driving truck with space for a small passenger.
