3 inch scale Marshall steam roller for restoration - stock code 9028

A 3 inch scale Marshall S-type steam roller, a well-built older model. Originally fitted with a steel boiler, it's been dismantled in recent times to fit a new copper boiler.

The engine has come to us from the builder, he's made a good start on reassembling the engine, with the cylinder block remounted on the new boiler, hornplates fitted and crankshaft installed.

There are a large quantity of parts with the engine, we're assured everything that was removed is present making this largely a reassembly job.

The boiler has had a recent hydraulic test at the owner's club, with certification issued for same - it's ready for a steam test when reassembled.

Given the original quality of build combined with the scarcity of steam roller miniatures - particularly nicely made ones - we'd be tempted to undertake a full repaint as well at this stage, it would make a very handsome engine.
