A 3 inch scale Foster agricultural engine, built to the Live Steam Models design and using their castings. It has been steamed a handful of times by the builder, a prolific engineer currently on with a Kerr, Stuart "Wren", "Holmside" and deWinton all in 7 1/4 inch gauge. It's probably fair to say that his interest had moved onto other things by the time he got this one running - still unpainted, it needs various odds and ends attending to although could be used substantially as-is. A large engine in this scale, almost a foot longer than the ubiquitous 6nhp Burrell and probably a hundredweight heavier.
Commercially built CE-marked boiler by the estimable Tony Baldwin of AJB Engineering, welded steel with expanded tubes, supplied new in 2008. 100psi working pressure. Feed by injector and mechanical pump with an auiliary hand pump on the man stand. Cast iron cylinder with slide valve actuated by Stephenson's gear.
Complete with original boiler maker's paperwork and club boiler history from its completion.
