An interesting take on the ubiquitous 3 inch scale Burrell agricultural engine, this is a well-made example done as a Showman's tractor, complete with dynamo and canopy lights.
Steel boiler with expanded tubes, 100psi working pressure, feed by injector and mechanical pump. Single cylinder with slide valve actuated by Stephenson's gear with pole reverser, mechanical lubricator and Pickering type governor mounted on block.
Two speed, three shaft transmission with differential, winch fitted behind nearside rear wheel with fairleads on tender.
From the condition of the tyres, I suspect the engine has seen little, if any running on the ground - it lives on a purpose-built display stand with ramp and winch allowing it to be loaded and unloaded by one man. Motionwork is well made and fitted with little perceptible wear - steamed a couple of weeks ago for the boiler inspector, there's a clip of it running here.
