A 3 inch scale Burrell agricultural engine, built to the Plastow design, completed and first steamed in 2013.
Commercially built silver soldered copper boiler, 100psi working pressure. Feed by injector and mechanical pump, twin spring-type safety valves mounted underneath dummy Ramsbottom valves. Cast iron cylinder with slide valve actuated by Stephenson's gear, mechanical lubricator. Three shaft, two speed transmission with winch behind nearside rear wheel, fairleads to tender.
A well put together, smartly turned out of this ever-popular beginner's traction engine - it's recently come in as part exchange on a 4 1/2 inch scale version of the same design.
