A well turned out example of Maxitrak's ever popular Aveling & Porter steam tractor - we've had lots in over the years, always impressed by how well they steam and go.
Silver soldered copper boiler, 80psi working pressure, feed by injector and mechanical pump with auxiliary hand pump mounted on the side of the tender. Gunmetal cylinder with slide valve actuted by Stephenson's gear, pole reverser, mechanical lubricator. Three shaft, two speed transmission, rubber tyres.
Complete with a driving trolley running on pneumatic tyres, the whole outfit is smartly turned out having been recently painted. A good choice as a beginner's engine, small enough to be easily transportable, big enough for rallying.
