3 inch scale Atkinson undertype steam wagon - stock code 13224

A 3 inch scale Atkinson steam wagon to the Ray Prime design, serialised in "Engineering in Miniature" magazine from 1984.

A one-owner engine, this one has come to us from the builder. An experienced engineer, he was also responsible for a fine 5 inch gauge "Royal Scot" and 7 1/4 inch gauge 57XX Pannier tank.

Beautifully made, the Atkinson steams freely and runs like a sewing machine. The paintwork, with hand-lined finish is a work of art in its own right, signwritten in gold leaf. In good condition, it presents very well.

The engine includes a sight feed for the sump oil level, a useful addition.

Complete with a spare set of pneumatic-tyres wheels and a driver's seat with footpegs.
