3 inch scale Atkinson steam wagon - stock code 7552

We sold this one a couple of years ago, a 3 inch scale Savage traction engine came in as a part exchange against it. The owner is now moving onto other things, so this one's back with us - one of the best running Atkinsons we've seen. Words and pictures below are from 2015, it's in much the same condition today. Steamed earlier in the week, it still runs beautifully.

A particularly well made 3 inch scale Atkinson steam wagon to the Ray Prime design - it runs beautifully, the engine is very quiet and surprisingly powerful. A very different animal to drive compared to a Foden or Clayton. There's some footage of Harry hot-rodding around the yard on it last week here, he reports it goes like a rocket but needs a set of foot pegs - there's no pleasing some people...

Commercially-built silver soldered copper boiler by Kingswood, 100psi working pressure. Feed by mechanical pump and injector, with a very effective hand pump mounted on the offside of the chassis. Twin cylinder engine with mechanical lubricator, single fixed speed transmission.

The engine has had only one season's use since completion, it is in good order throughout and ready to use for the rest of the season.
