3 inch scale Atkinson steam wagon - stock code 3239

A well-built Atkinson steam wagon to Ray Prime's design, serialised in "Engineering in Miniature". Work to date is to a high standard, based on a commercially-built silver soldered copper boiler by Kingswood Boilers, complete with manufacturer's original 200psi hydraulic test certificate for a working pressure of 100psi issued in 2001 when the boiler was built.

The engine is substantially complete although never steamed. Work to be done includes completing the differential, fitting the final drive chain and a variety of minor detailing jobs including fixing works plates, setting the safety valves etc.

Complete with a set of drawings, complete set of construction articles from "Engineering in Miniature".

The engine is complete with a spare set of pneumatic-tyred wheels, a spare trailer bed and cab.
