A 3 1/2 inch gauge model of a three foot gauge Hunslet 4-6-0, built for the War Department during the Kaiser's war. Although there's a trace of soot in the smokebox, from the look of the rest of the engine it's unsteamed from new.
Silver soldered copper boiler, 80psi working pressure, feed by axle and hand pumps. Gunmetal cylinders with slide valves actuated by Walschaert's gear, pole reverser in the cab. Mechanical lubricator. The engine has a screw-down brake with dummy steam brake cylinder mounted beneath the cab floor.
