3 1/2 inch gauge part-built "Tich" - stock code 1883

A well-advanced example of LBSC's ever-popular "Tich", the engine that launched a few thousand model engineers on their workshop careers (me included!).

This is a large-boilered Tich with Walschaerts valve gear. The chassis is complete and has been run on air. Workmanship is to a good standard throughout. The boiler is copper, silver-soldered with superheater flue. There is a quantity of machined parts with the engine, including part-built regulator, safety valve, completed hand pump and some boiler fittings. There are unmachined castings for dome and chimney and a set of drawings.

Work remaining is mainly platework (cab and tanks) and boiler fittings.
