A 3 1/2 inch gauge Great Western 4-6-0 to LBSC's "Ivy Hall" design, published in the "Model Engineer" in 1955 - this was the one that led to a great fallout between LBSC and ME, he did this design for the magazine whilst simultaneously designing another for A.J.Reeves. The editor of "Model Engineer" sacked him, he was only reinstated after a regime change when he came back to write for a further five years until his death in 1967.

There is some really good work in this chassis - fit and finish of the motionwork is excellent, axleboxes have been bored out and fitted with roller bearings, flanges are machined with a radius for accomodating suspension movement.
