A rarely modelled prototype, the original locomotives were built by the Vulcan Foundry from 1947.
The engine has come to us from the family of the late builder, largely complete although requiring boiler fittings.
On hydraulic test there are several stays leaking in the firebox and various drips from under the cladding - the boiler needs removing from the frames and testing with cladding removed to get a clear idea of what work is required.
