We sold this one back in 2023 - a nicely made engine, it went very well. It's been run since, and had a club boiler test at the end of last season, with a new certificate issued.

Sometime between then and now it's suffered a mishap - the foundation ring developing several small but persistent leaks - which will require the boiler lifting from the frames for repair.

Pictures opposite and words below are from 2023 - cosmetically the engine is in similar condition as when it was last here.

A well-built 3 1/2 inch gauge LMS Black 5 to LBSC's well-regarded "Doris" design.

This one has come to us as part of a collection of 3 1/2 and 5 inch gauge steam and battery-electric locomotives, along with his workshop equipment, from a long time customer of ours now downsizing.

The commercially-built, CE-marked boiler has had hydraulic and steam tests in recent days with new certification issued.

In good order, the engine presents well in LMS black livery.

Complete with some spare castings, including grates and tender dummy leaf springs.

A well-sorted locomotive, it steams freely and runs very nicely.
