3 1/2 inch gauge GNR Atlantic "Patricia" - stock code 2876

A venerable example of LBSC's "Maisie", his take on Ivatt's large-boilered Atlantic. A well made engine, although it show signs of age in the paintwork and overall finish, mechnically it's still in good order. From some photographs and the last certificate that came with it, the engine was apparently last in regular use in the early 1990s.

Silver soldered copper boiler with superheaters, feed by injector and axle pump with auxiliary hand pump in tender. Working pressure 85psi. Gunmetal cylinders with mechanical lubricator, slide valves actuated by Stephenson's valve gear with pole reverser in cab.

The boiler has a new hydraulic test and is in good order. The engine pushes along smoothly, the motionwork has been kept well-oiled and is in good condition. The regulator is seized up although will almost certainly free up with a fire in it, the injector looks like it wants a decent bath and the gauge glass feels as if it needs some new stuffing.
