A 3 1/2 inch gauge "Lucky 7", Don Young's design based on the Edaville #7 two foot gauge engine. A large narrow gauge engine in full size, it makes a monster of a thing in 3 1/2 inch gauge - nearly five feet long and only just a two man lift.
Silver-soldered copper boiler with superheaters, working pressure 80psi, feed by injector and axle pump with auxiliary hand pump in the bunker. Cast iron cylinders with slide valves actuated by Walshaert's gear with pole reverser in the cab. Twin mechanical lubricators.
