A Black 5 to LBSC's "Doris" design. This one has come from a small collection of engines which have been on static display for several years, they came in recently in part exchange for a large 5 inch gauge locomotive.
Commercially built silver soldered copper boiler by Alec Farmer of Reeves, 80psi working pressure, feed by injector and axle pump with auxiliary hand pump in the tender. Gunmetal cylinders with piston valves actuated by Waslchaert's gear with screw reverser in the cab. Mechanical lubricator.
Boiler is sound on this one, it runs well although needs some fettling to put back into regular use - there's a video of it running in our workshop last week here.
