The chassis runs nicely on air with even beats - fit and finish of motionwork and valve gear is to a good standard.
The regulator and wet header joint leak copiously on the boiler, preventing any meaningful test, however the builder informs us that there are two pinhole leaks, one on the front tubeplate, one on the barrel, both marked.
The tender platework has been done to a fairly utilitarian standard, we suspect by a different pair of hands to the locomotive.
