The engine rolls along freely, machining of motionwork and valve gear not bad, paintwork and lining good. It appears to have been test steamed in the past, but there is little sign of serious running - the chassis is exceptionally clean underneath.

A leak from in front of the dome prevented any meaningful test of the silver soldered copper boiler - we suspect it's the regulator mounting bolts, but the boiler will need to be lifted and cladding removed to seal.
