A 3 1/2 inch gauge LMS 4F to the Don Young design, comprising:

  • set of erected frames with buffer beams and hornblocks

  • machined cylinder block and valve chest with slide valves
  • connecting rods with Joy gear links
  • machined wheelsets with axleboxes and springs
  • smokebox with front ring
  • reverser stand
  • assembled cab
  • largely complete tender with hand pump
  • unmachined castings including eccentric straps, dome and chimney

Eagle-eyed readers will have noticed that the smokebox door shown has nothing to do with any LMS engine (which on a 4F is a radially clipped type). Not included with this engine - it's actually from a Southern S15 and shortly after photography was reunited with the rest of that project!
