Rather un-prepossessing at first glance, this is actually a nicely-made LMS
2-6-4 tank locomotive to Martin Evans' well-regarded "Jubilee" design
which has been badly stored resulting in surface rust and dirt on almost all
parts. However, everything looks as if it will clean up with fine emery, it turns over freely and is complete bar the valve chest
and cylinder end covers - it would be less than a day's work to have the chassis
running on air.
After stripping and cleaning, it will make a good start to a particularly nice 3
1/2 inch gauge model.
The chassis is complete with all motion work, brake gear and twin axle pumps. All wheels
and motion work move freely, the valve gear works smoothly from full forward to
reverse. There is a nearly complete horizontally-split smokebox in copper with
door and saddle.
