2 inch scale Shand Mason fire engine - stock code 7986

We sold this one last year to a regular customer of ours who has an eclectic collection of stationary and traction engines - it's recently come back in pretty much exactly the same condition as last time it was here. Pictures opposite and words below are from 2020.

A finely made 2 inch scale model of a Shand Mason fire engine, to the Edgar Westbury design.

Serialised in "Model Engineer" in 1967, Westbury had the cooperation of the Science Museum in preparing drawings - there's a writeup of the efforts he made for authenticity in the listing for another of these we sold back in 2007, pictures and words in the archive here.

In good condition, there are two thin brass bands missing from wheel hubs, other than that it's complete.
