A rare model - in the last twenty years we've only over had one other.
The silver soldered copper boiler has had a twice working pressure hydraulic test, with new certification issued. The motion is silky smooth to turn over, the engine has been tested on air, running as well as it looks; slight leakage past the regulator was noted.
The engine steams freely and runs well, however the scale safety valves - whilst coping with normal running conditions - accumulate when the fire is forced with the blower. Either the valves or blower will require work to rectify.
The injector is a dummy, piped through to an effective hand pump in the belly tank - the engine also has a mechanical pump. We love the detail on this one - including the hand made steering chains (with a few spare links in the spares box), double nutted bearing caps and eccentric strap wick oilers.
Complete with a stand for the canopy when not in use and a purpose built storage crate - both as nicely made as the engine itself.
