A Pride of Penrhyn steam
wagon, assembled although never painted. It's been a running engine in the past,
it came here having been poorly stored and part-seized.
That said, nothings been broken, the cab and wooden deck are still wrapped up as they were delivered, it is a complete project which could be stripped, painted and made to go weve had several through in the past which have been good performers. Boiler is silver-soldered, working pressure 90psi, feed by injector and mechanical pump, there's a hand pump in the water tank. Cylinders are in cast iron, Stephenson's valve gear with pole reverser, mechanical lubricator. Transmission is two speed with chain drive to a layshaft-mounted differential, thence by chain to the back axle.
