2 inch scale Fowler Z7S ploughing engine - stock code 1946

A well-made example of the Fowler Z7S compound ploughing engine, to the design published by John Haining. A detailed model, it features the correct Firth radial valve gear, two speed road gears and winch drum complete with coiling gear.

The original engines were very large - even in 2 inch scale the engine is over four feet long and a four man lift - and rarely used in this country save for some which ploughed the the vast Fenland fields in Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire.

This engine is around 25 years old and has been well-used over the years, now requiring overhaul and repainting.
