A 2 inch scale Fowler double crank compound road locomotive, built to the Plastows "Princess" design. It runs, but it's time for an overhaul, the valve gear needs rebushing, flywheel is loose, the chimney has been repaired (badly) once already and really wants replacing. Much of the work is quite decent, some - possibly by another hand - is horrid and includes the brass lifting links for the valve gear, which want throwing out and some new steel ones making.

Silver soldered copper boiler, feed by injector and crankshaft pump. Cast iron compound cylinder block, slide valves actuated by Stephenson's gear with pole reverser. Three speed transmission with differential, winch mounted behind rear wheel with fairleads on tender.

Based on a large prototype, this is a big 2 inch scale model nearly four feet long with the canopy on and just about a two man lift.
