A 2 inch scale Fowler DCC showmans engine to the Plastow "Princess" design. A running engine in the past, it's been partly dismantled - complete with canopy (which managed to evade the photographer, along with a dynamo), it requires some parts including final drive gear, differential, motion and gear covers to complete.

Silver-soldered copper boiler by Swindon Boilers, 100psi working pressure. Feed by injector and mechanical pump driven from crankshaft. Compound cylinder block in gunmetal with slide valves actuated by Stephenson's reversing gear. Mechanical lubricator.

Four shaft, three speed transmission with differential, rubber tyres fitted, winch behind nearside rear wheel with fairleads on tender.

A large engine, it's a two man lift.
