Well built in the first place, and fitted with a commercially built CE-marked copper boiler by Cheddar Valley Steam which has had recent hydraulic test, the engine is overall in good condition with little wear evident; the paintwork remains bright.
The crank, which is a fabricated assembly, requires attention - the pin securing the nearside mainshaft to its web has sheared, the crank itself will require removal to effect a repair.
