2 inch scale Durham & North Yorkshire Traction Engine - stock code 10424

A 2 inch scale Durham & North Yorkshire agricultural engine to the John Haining design, the work of an experienced engineer with a fine Allchin and several excellent stationary engines to his credit.

Well built in the first place, and fitted with a commercially built CE-marked copper boiler by Cheddar Valley Steam which has had recent hydraulic test, the engine is overall in good condition with little wear evident; the paintwork remains bright.

The crank, which is a fabricated assembly, requires attention - the pin securing the nearside mainshaft to its web has sheared, the crank itself will require removal to effect a repair.
