2 1/2 inch gauge LNER V2 "Green Arrow" - stock code 8841

A 2 1/2 inch gauge LNER V2, started in 1955 by Mr C W Dicks and finished in 2001 by Graham Larrington of Bridge of Brown Crafts, a professional model maker whose work we have had (and admired) in the past, including a 4 inch Garrett agricultural engine, 3 1/2 inch gauge "Hielan Lassie" and various Stuart models, including a superb Victoria mill engine and steam hammer.

The locomotive has come as part of a collection of locomotives and stationary engines we bought recently.

It has been finished as a display model - whilst the chassis looks to be fully functional with three cylinders, Gresley-Holcroft conjugated gear, mechanical lubricator and turns over freely, the copper boiler is only tacked together and lacks any form of staying in the firebox.

Mounted on a handsome oak base with scale track, complete with perspex dust cover.
