A 2/12 inch gauge LNER A3 Pacific "Solario", a nicely built - possibly commercially produced - locomotive.

Missing its tender - it may have disappeared at the same time the engine, formerly green, was repainted blue - the engine is otherwise complete and rolls along freely.

The spirit-fired water tube boiler extends to about half the length of the cladding. There is an axle pump fitted although not piped up.

An interesting project, made all the more feasible by our friends at Model Engineers Laser listing most of the parts required for the tender, providing a fast-built option.
