The engine rolls freely and runs very well on air in either direction.
The combustion chamber boiler has had a twice working pressure hydraulic test at 160psi for 80psi working and is warrantied as sound (the lovely vintage 0-60psi pressure gauge currently fitted indicating that the engine has probably spent its life running at a lower pressure - probably on a scenic rather than passenger-hauling line).
