The standard of machining is good throughout, platework neatly formed. The engine is nicely detailed and well thought out - I like the detachable pump handle which has a threaded socket on the tender for storage.
Unpainted, although with evidence of having been steamed in the past, the engine has minor surface corrosion on the bare steel parts - it comes off easily with Scotchbrite.
