1 inch scale portable engine - stock code 10303

A 1 inch scale portable engine, a well-proportioned model which captures the look of a typical nineteenth century portable engine. Unsteamed from new, this one has come to us with a large collection of traction engines and fairground models.

Well made and nicely painted, the engine turns over freely but currently doesn't run on air - this appears to be a problem with the regulator, with no air getting to the valve chest when it's opened.

The copper boiler is substantially complete, missing only the nuts from inner firebox studs.

There is some play in the big end indicating that it's been run in the past, the water gauge currently has a piece of steel rod in place of a glass tube.
