1 inch scale Minnie Showmans engine - stock code 2349

A beautifully-made Showmans engine in 1 inch scale, exhibited at the Model Engineer Exhibition where it gained a medal and unsteamed from new - it has only ever been run on air.

Silver-soldered coal-fired copper boiler fed by mechanical pump with bypass. Single cylinder engine, slide valve actuated by Stephenson's valve gear with pole reverser on footplate. Mechanical lubricator. Two speed transmission with winch mounted behind left hand rear wheel.

The engine is highly detailed with dummy governor, water lifter and scale prototypical clack valves on the boiler. Lamps are fitted all round, with opening doors and tiny wick trays within. The canopy lights are wired to be fed from an external battery if required, with a lead discreetly hidden in the tender. The canopy is freehand signwritten to a high standard, the paintwork throughout is in new condition.

The complete engine is mounted on a wooden plinth and has a complete set of scale firing irons and tools. There is a fitting on the boiler blowdown to allow a compressor to be connected for running on air - it goes as well as it looks.
