1 inch scale "ME" traction engine - stock code 12486

A 1 inch scale "ME" traction engine, built to the Greenly design published in "Model Engineer" magazine in 1933.

An older engine, it shows signs of wear in the valve gear and motionwork; paintwork offers ample opportunity for improvement. There is one cylinder mounting bolt missing, the cylinder front cover gasket leaks - all that said, the engine runs happily in either direction on air.

A worthwhile project with the potential a good example of this rare, vintage design.
