1 1/4 inch scale coal-fired traction engine, to complete - stock code 1569

Attractively-proportioned traction engine of around 1 1/4 inch scale, reputedly using Bassett-Lowke castings. The smokebox door has "Burrell" cast in and the overall lines are similar to a small Burrell tractor. Work is required to complete the tender, ashpan and gearing. Although there is no evidence that the multitube boiler has ever been steamed, the engine itself has obviously been run on many occasions (probably on compressed air via on of the boiler fitting bushes). Fitted with Stephenson's reversing gear, the engine has some nice detailing such the rivet work around the belly tanks and tool box.
