A particularly well built "Royal Chester", the work of an accomplished model engineer with many other locomotives, stationary engines and clocks to his credit, including the Simpson's & Shipton engine I sold recently. He built this engine some years ago, it has seen little use in the intervening period. It runs almost silently and is in excellent condition throughout, fit and finish of all parts is very good.
Copper silver-soldered boiler with injector and mechanical feed pump with bypass. Twin safety valves. Water gauge with blowdown and shut-off cocks, blowdown valve mounted above the foundation ring on the right hand side.
